Long Island Streaming produces product and demo video for companies across Long Island and the New York metro area — feature walk-throughs, in-app demos, and side-by-side comparison pieces. A demo has one job: show the thing working, clearly, in the order a real user would meet it. We shoot on a controlled setup so every feature reads, and we capture the product stills your marketing team needs in the same session.
How we produce it
A product demo follows the same shape as our how-to production workflow — research the product by using it, script the sequence, capture multiple angles, then edit with on-screen emphasis. The difference is intent: a how-to teaches a task; a demo sells a capability, so the pacing is tighter, the lighting is cleaner, and the hero shots carry more weight.
Hardware is shot on a tabletop sweep or small set with overhead, macro, and clean three-quarter angles, on a turntable where rotation helps. Software is recorded at full screen resolution, with cursor emphasis, zoom-ins, and key-press captions added in post and cut against a presenter or a voice-over. Comparison pieces are boarded shot-for-shot so the two options line up frame to frame.
What's different about demo video
- Controlled, repeatable lighting so a whole product line looks like one set
- Hero and detail angles planned for the marketing cutdowns, not just the full video
- Screen capture at native resolution, never a camera pointed at a monitor
- Product stills in the same session — hero, detail, and packshot
- A framing and graphics template so a feature can be re-shot when the product changes
What you get
- The full demo, chaptered if it is a walk-through
- A short hero cut plus per-feature clips
- Vertical and square versions for social and ads
- Product stills from the same session
- Screen-recording sources at native resolution
- The setup and graphics template for future updates

Frequently asked questions
- Do you shoot hardware, software, or both?
Both. Hardware is shot on a controlled tabletop or sweep with overhead, macro, and clean product angles; software is captured at full screen resolution and cut with a presenter or voice-over. Many demos need both in one piece.
- Can we get product stills from the same shoot?
Yes. The lighting and set for a product demo is most of the way to a product photography setup, so we capture hero and detail stills in the same session.
- How long should a demo video be?
A feature demo is usually 60–120 seconds; a full walk-through runs longer and is chaptered. We often cut a short hero version plus deeper feature clips from the same capture.
- Can the demo be updated when the product changes?
Yes. We keep the setup, framing, and graphics template on file so a single feature or screen can be re-shot and dropped in without redoing the whole video.
